Al-Shifa Free Clinic

Situated in an impoverished neighborhood in the city of San Bernardino,
California, Al-Shifa Clinic is a shining example of how the teachings of Islam –
compassion towards the sick and selfless service to those in need - are molded into
everyday practice.

Housed in a 5,000 square feet building, Al-Shifa clinic provides a haven to those
who travel from far and near looking for relief and cure. The free service is
provided by a team of dedicated Muslim physicians and volunteers. The 19
examination rooms of Al-Shifa clinic hum with activity from Wednesdays through
Saturdays, the days when this clinic is open.

Al Shifa Clinic is funded mainly through donations and contributions from the
generous members of the community. Recently we also received a grant from
California Wellness Foundation for which we are grateful to them. However,
this grant is for a limited period only and only covers part of our expenses.
To ensure sustained and consistent top-quality services and to further
enhance our program, we seek your continous support and help.

We ask the community, especially the Muslim community all over the world,
to provide us support in cash and kind. Please donate generously!! All funds
are and would be used in the most efficient manner to provide services to the
needy. You may send us checks or donate online. We could also set up a
monthly payment plan for you.

We request the pharmaceutical companies to provide us samples of
medicines and medical supplies. All medicines and supplies are provided free
of charge to our patients.

From physicians, we ask for more. Not only do we need monetary assistance
from you, we would also appreciate if you could volunteer and donate part of
your time to examine the patients. We are always in need of volunteer
doctors.
